Work and Play 【By Kaiser3344】
Work and play are two important parts in people's life, but some times they are contradictory, whether we can balance them has much to do with our success.
Some people think that we should do more work, because everyone has a limited life, and we should make as many contributions as we can to society. Besides, we can acquire more knowledge and gain more experience by hard work, which will help us a lot later in our life.
Others believe that we should spare enough time for play. There is a saying that all work and no play makes John a dull boy. Play makes people feel relaxed and free them from the stress of work.
In this sense, it is also beneficial to our health. So if we don't play, we can't work well. In my opinion, we should do more work when we are young be cause we are energetic, and we can spend more time playing and enjoying our life when we become aged. Of course, we should never overdo things and never indulge ourselves with play.
Make a plan on Monday. When you arrive at work Monday morning, chances are you are still transitioning from weekend to workweek. Mondays also are frequently filled with meetings, and that can decrease the amount of time you have to devote to your regular tasks. Since this may not be your most productive day, use it to set the stage for the rest of your week. Take some time to develop a to-do list and prioritize your projects for the days ahead.周一：做好计划。
Time to get movin' on Tuesday. This day provides you with an opportunity to focus your efforts and establish momentum for the rest of your week -- it's also the day to begin projects that will require extended concentration. Try to arrange your time so you have few interruptions or meetings; changing gears frequently hurts your productivity. Along the same lines, try to cluster projects that require similar resources for even more efficiency.周二：开始行动。你在这天可以全力以赴，并用这天的能量带动后面几天的工作。
同时，把需要相似资源的项目集中在一起来完成以进一步提高效率。Reassess your week on Wednesday. The middle of the week provides an opportunity for you to figure out where you're at and what still needs to be done. Think about what you can reasonably accomplish the rest of the week and if any of your planned tasks need to be pushed to the following week due to emergency projects or unforeseen hurdles. Make any necessary adjustments so you can get back on track.周三：一周评估。
做点必要调整让你重新回到正轨。Think about a break on Thursday. Use Thursday as a day to reward yourself for your hard work throughout the week and to prepare for the final pre-weekend push. You might plan a lunch away from the office or arrange to take a walk with a colleague to re-energize. Alternatively, if you've been working long hours, this might be the day you leave the office a bit earlier than normal.周四：休息一下。
或者，如果你前几天都工作很长时间，也许这一天你可以稍微提早一些下班。Be flexible on Friday. As much as possible, try to pad your week's schedule so you have the flexibility on Friday to wrap up tasks you weren't able to accomplish during the week. Also spend some time organizing your desk, paper files and e-mails. Making sure things are neat and in order when you come into the office on Monday will help make your weekend less stressful and ensure you don't return to a chaotic mess.周五：灵活一点。
Computers have become very important in many areas of work and play.
There is no doubt that computers are very useful in technology and business. In space, computers help astronauts and pilots control the speed and direction of a spaceship's flight. With the help of computers, doctors can find diseases easily and solve other problems. For example, tiny computers inside people's bodies keep their hearts beating well. In factories, robots controlled by computers can do work that is dangerous to humans. Computers are also used in business to place and cancle orders. At the same time, they have made the workplace safer and better.
Since the Internet came into being, people's lives at home have changed, too. More and more people have personal computers, and they use them to play games and watch movies. Thanks to the Internet, people can do shopping and do business at home. Instead of writting letters on paper, people communicate by sebding e-mails and chatting on line. The whole world is connected. Computers have made the world smaller, like a" village".
Computers have improved our lives, but they have brought problems, too. For instance, if we work on computers too long, we may get headaches or sore eyes.If we play computer games too much, we won't study well and get enough exercise. Although computers help us work and at home, we must use them properly.

5.My favourite job英语作文
My ambition is to be a teacher, so my favourite job is teacher. Teachers are hardworking and beautiful as well. They are the engineers of the people's soul. They devote themselves to the students but they ask for nothing. I still remember the name"TanqianQiu". I regard him as my personal hero.Teachers are great and I admire them very much. I think that I'll be a good teacher in the future.。
What should students do in their part time?
Nowadays, students have to work harder and harder then they used to due to the study pressure in school. They spend 8 hours in school and most of their spare time at home doing homework. That's why many students don't take part in many physical activities.
I would suggest that students spend more time doing physical exercise in their spare time. Playing basketball will help them not only to exercise their physical bodies but also help them to relax their tense mind, therefore, they can learn better. Going to cinema is another way to relax. Listening to music will be very good for the students to have peace in mind after long hours hard work. Besides, they can also go out for a walk in the countryside, to get close to the nature, or do some gardening.
There are many different activities the students can do in their spare time, which can really help them to relax. If they can follow these suggestions, they may learn much better than only studying without relax.
Whenever we have more free time, our classrnutes will be busy recommending part-time jobs to one another.
When we pass by the bulletin board on the campus, we often catch sight of some want ads attached to it. It is obvious that holding part-time jobs has become a growing tendency among university students. More and more students would like to work after class and their chances of getting a job are becoming abundant.
There are always two sides to a question. Part-time jobs are no exceptions. They have either the pro side or the con side. On the one hand, part-time jobs not only enable students to cultivate their abilities, but also help them apply their knowledge to practice. Furthermore, students who have part-time jobs can relieve, to some extent, the economic burdens of their parents. However, on the other hand, after-class work may distract the students' attention from their studies. Some students who have secured part-time jobs have already shown a decline in their studies.
I don't want to argue on the feasibility of holding part-time jobs. But there is no doubt that as a student, great emphasis should be placed on his studies. He should not allow his four years' time in the university to slip by for nothing. Instead, he must treasure his time and absorb as much knowledge as he can to lay a solid foundation for his future career.
